Frank's Favorites
Here you see examples of pens that I have created. The wood, with its' expressive grain, that was used in the creation of these pens make me feel they are truly works of art and my personal favorites.
Beginning at the left, my current favorites are:
- The European Style done with Afzelia Burl which is native to Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
- The Navigator done with Amboyna Burl which is found in Southern Burma, Peninsular Thailand, Vietnam, the Solomons (eastern limit) in the Pacific, Sumatra, West Java, Borneo, Philippines, Sunda Islands, the Moluccas, and New Guinea.
- The Cigar Style done in Buckeye Burl which grows in the Western foothils of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California.
- Another European Style, this one done with Boxelder Burl which can be found in the Lower elevations in North America, extending through Mexico into Guatemala, excluding Pacific Coast states and south central Canada
- Another Cigar Style, only done in Quilted Sapele which is found in an area ranging from the Ivory Coast to the Cameroons and eastward through Zaire to Uganda.
